Owls of Taiwan Postage Stamps from Taiwanese Post!!

After releasing “Owls of Taiwan” stamp sets in 2011 and 2012, Chunghwa Post is following up with another set of four stamps in 2013 featuring Otus lettia, Tyto longimembris, Ketupa flavipes and Otus elegans botelensis. Printed in intaglio, the set is scheduled to be released on June 26, 2013. The designs follow.

Estonian fauna – Weasel

Weasel Mustela nivalis The tail of the weasel, brownish on the back and white on the belly in the summer, is slightly shorter than that of the other small carnivore, the ermine, and the hair at the end of its tail is never black. In the winter, the weasel turns white all over.

The Philippine Postal Corporation has issued a stamp featuring Far Eastern University’s “Save the Tamaraw” project.

The Tamaraw (Bubalus Mindorensis) is a small and shy buffalo, also known as wild dwarf buffalo. It has a pair of relatively straight backward pointing horns which are extremely stout.
