Better Way of Checking Authenticity of Old Stamps

With stamp collecting a popular hobby and lucrative investment, scientists are describing a comprehensive new way of verifying the authenticity and rooting out fakes of what may be the smallest and most valuable pieces of paper on Earth
Their report appears in the ACS journalAnalytical Chemistry.
Ludovico Valli and colleagues explain that museums, archives and private stamp collectors have long been searching for better ways to confirm the authenticity of rare stamps, and details like cancellation marks that increase value. Andy Murray Wimbledon stamps

The book of four stamps feature four different pictures of the tennis star during this year’s Wimbledon tournament.
Murray became the first British man to win the singles title in 77 years when he beat number one seed Novak Djokovic in straight sets.

On 3 December 2012, St. James’s Palace announced that the Duchess was expecting the couple’s first child. At less than 12 weeks, the announcement was made earlier in the pregnancy than is traditional due to her admission to hospital with acute morning sickness.
