Australia Post charity stamp to support the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre

Australia Post Managing Director and CEO Ahmed Fahour announced the release of a charity stamp sheetlet to raise funds for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre – a new cancer research and treatment centre at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne.
“Australia Post is delighted to support the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre with the release of this stamp issue,” said Australia Post Managing Director and CEO Ahmed Fahour.

Colonial Heritage Visualising Australia – Stamp Issue

This stamp issue is the third in the Colonial Heritage series, commemorating Australia’s philatelic past. Book-ending the stamps of the colonial period, it features a reworking of Australia’s fi rst postage stamp design, “Sydney View” (1850), and one of its last in the colonial period, “Hobart”, from the Tasmanian pictorial issue (1899-1900). Created some 50 years apart, the scenes featured in the original designs serve very different purposes, each linked to its specifi c historical moment.

Medical Doctors- Stamp issue

This stamp issue honours five remarkable clinicians who have contributed to making our health system one of the best in the world.
Dr Jane (Jean) Stocks Greig (1872-1939) was a public health specialist. In 1896, with her sister Janet, she founded Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Hospital. She helped improve the health and dental standards of Victorian school children and her administrative positions included membership of the secretariat of the Victorian Baby Health Centres Association and the Council of Public Education.
