Embroidery from Zmijanje is surely one of the most specific and most typical embroidery from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The specificity of this embroidery is reflected in the fact that the wealth of ornamentation, production technique and color unique and special compared to other embroidery inBosnia and Herzegovina. National Library of Srebrenica began its work in 1959, When the Council for Education and Culture MA Srebrenica provides funds for the purchase of several hundred books. In 1961 fund of the libraryenriched with books from spas Guber then begins serious and systematic enrichment of library holdings and cataloging. As part of the National University ”Zvonimir Subic” the Library in 1967 was obtained to use the space of 108 square meters, when for the first time they set aside the Children’s Department. The library at that time had two branch classes in Skelane and Podravanje, which were placed in primary schools. (read more)

At the beginning of 1934 within the Hygienic Institute in Banja Luka, was formed Department of Veterinary Epidemiology, as a precursor to today’s Institute. The main contribution for the establishment belongs to Dr. Vaso Butozan, whose name Institut proudly carries today. The newly formed department had responsibility to carry out specialized activities in the field of veterinary medicine in the area that included the whole Vrbaska Banovina. (read more)

Beginning of the Chinese horoscope dates back to the distant past.  It belongs to the oldest known horoscope. There are twelve signs and the government in each other character. According to one legend, Buddha invited all animals to the funeral. According to another theory, he invited them to celebrate the New Year. Only 12 animals responded: Rat, Bull, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig came. To reward their arrival, each year was named after one of these animals.
