This stamp issue of Italian Post celebrates the Italian Red Cross on the 150th anniversary of its foundation. Print run consists of two million, seven hundred thousand copies. (read more)

The main motif of the stamp is a mounted officer’s medal group, and a part of a contemporary map can be seen on the background print. Kapatagan was formerly a part of Kolambugan, it existed as municipal district from 1939 to 1948. Kapatagan later became a larger municipality July 5, 1949 by Virtue of Executive Order No. 273. The towns name was derived from the Visayan word patag meaning “plain” or valley. Kapatagan is a municipality in the province Lanao Del Norte in Region X Northern Mindanao which belongs to the Mindanao group of islands. The municipality Kapatagan is seated about 17 kms. To mark 50 years of the Peel P50 and Trident, Isle of Man Post Office is pleased to present a set of six stamps featuring the highly distinctive micro cars produced by Peel Engineering Company on the Isle of Man. Back in 1964 Peel Engineering were in full production of their unique P50 and later that year the first 12 Tridents were completed prior to the public launch at the Earl’s Court Motorcycle Show in November that year. The Bahamas Post Office is delighted to mark the 75th Anniversary of the World’s first undersea Post Office and to pay tribute to the pioneering work of John Ernest (“J.E.”) Williamson (1881-1966), whose underwater photography drew mass attention to the beautiful and precious natural resources around The Bahamas. An Australian postage milestone was made in July 1914. French aviator Maurice Guillaux took off from Melbourne Agricultural Grounds on 16 July bound for Sydney, with a cargo of souvenir postcards, official letters and a small number of parcels. Guillaux’s load was light, as his Bleriot XI monoplane was only powered by a Gnôme rotary engine of around 50 horse power. The aviator was challenged by inclement weather as he winged his way north, (read more)

In 1954, an agreement was signed which led to a dynamic cooperation between the two countries of Philippines and Germany.
Germany has an embassy in Manila and the Philippines has an embassy in Berlin. The German- Filipino relations goes back to the the 19th century when our national hero Jose Rizal lived in Germany and finished writing his famous novel Noli Me Tangere. It was published with the assistance of professor Ferdinand Blumentritt. (read more)

More than a hundred years ago breeders of Estonian country breed cattle realized that good production results could only be expected if it was possible to make a choice among the animals. For this it was necessary to record the origination, appearance and production data of the animals. As a result breeders started to document production data, instituting the Herdbook. (read more)
