Under the auspice of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie, “Australia 2013 World Stamp Expo” will be held at Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne, Australia from 10 to 15 May 2013 to mark the centenary of the 1913 Kangaroo and Map Stamp – Australia’s first national postage stamp.

Hong kong Post issues a “Heartwarming Stamps” mini-pane and souvenir cover to commemorate Hongkong Post’s participation in the event. The mini-pane adopts the design layout of Heartwarming Stamps 2013 “Year of the Snake” which contains 12 “Heartwarming Stamps” of local mail postage. Traditional paper cutting motifs on the stamp tabs vividly outline the Golden Wattle (the national flower of Australia), kangaroo, koala and boomerang which are native to Australia. Each stamp tag is coupled with a warm greeting to lend a note of joy and festivity.
