A book titled ‘The sacking of Afinsa’ to be published this month
With a title fit for a thriller movie “The Sacking of Afinsa” a book will be on sale on the 28 of October that tries to clarify the Philatelic scandal and finally offer a credible story of the intervention of the philatelic companies Fórum Filatélico and Afinsa that before their unexpected closure by the Spanish authorities on the 9th May 2006 had dedicated themselves for more than 25 years to the philatelic business and philatelic investments in Spain.
The intervention took by surprise all the country with the presumed macro-scandal leaving without their savings almost half a million families. A little more that 1% of the entire population.
After almost five years; with a Government that after the intervention has not cared about the victims of the supposed swindle, with subsidized Organizations of Consumers who have manipulated the affected interests and wills of thousand of innocent victims, with mass media publishing their own theory of the swindle and with a loaded judicial process of irregularities and contradictory sentences, finally the opportunity of at least finding out part of the truth of the intervention of Afinsa Bienes Tangibles, S.A. appears.
The book is without a doubt a great journalistic investigation carried out by its author, Mila Hernán, one of more than 190,000 people affected by the intervention of Afinsa, that took place on the 9 of May of the 2006. It seems the truth is finally out there and that the whole intervention was a politically manipulated action!
