Founded in 1963 at the initiative of Princess Grace of Monaco, the World Association of Children’s Friends (Association Mondiale des Amis de l’Enfance – AMADE)

endeavours to contribute to the well- being of extremely vulnerable children. It is currently chaired by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover. The association aims above all to guarantee the autonomy of the communities it works with, creating re- sults that last. AMADE operates through a network of 12 national agencies across Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
