New Issue by Royal Mail – Britain Alone
The Royal mail has released on the 13th May 2010 their latest set of stamps Britain Alone. Britain stood alone in the dark ages of the 1940 against the axis power. This was one of the darkest periods in the history of Britain but also reflects their finest hour, as millions of Britons came together to do their bit for the war effort.
The Britain Alone was issued as a set of 8 stamps featuring the following
- 1st Class: Churchill
- 1st Class: Land Girls
- 60p: Home Guard
- 60p: Evacuees
- 67p: Air Raid Wardens
- 67p: Woemn in factories
- 97p: Royal Broadcast
- 97p: Fire Service
