The Greatest TT Races of all time…
This year the Isle of Man Post Office is delighted to present ten of those epic races to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Mountain course. Picking ten top races out of hundreds of thrilling encounters was no easy task.
Not every one of the greatest races went to the wire; the Ago/Hailwood 1967 Senior being a perfect example. Yet it’s still arguably the most revered race in TT history. Picking nine more thrillers from literally hundreds of great TT scraps was a daunting task that a special board of legendary TT heroes, historians and journalists was set by the Isle of Man Post Office. Racers John McGuinness, Ian Hutchinson, Michael Dunlop, Dave Molyneux, Charlie Williams, Steve Parrish, historian Bill Snelling (of FoTToFinders) and journalists John Watterson (Isle of Man Newspapers) and Gary Pinchin (MCN) spent hours deliberating to arrive at, what they believe, are some of the most exciting races in TT history…
